The New York Yankees have called up pitcher Jonathan Loaisiga while simultaneously demoting utility infielder Tyler Wade.
The roller-coaster ride Tyler Wade can’t seem to hop off continues.
After starting the season in the Electric City (Scranton, for those uninformed sophisticated city slickers), Wade’s call-up placed him where he believes he should be. Now, he’s heading back west with Jonathan Loaisiga calling that tremendous Uber for the Bronx.
Following tonight's game, the Yankees optioned INF/OF Tyler Wade to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Wade, 24, is batting .204 in limited time this season (20 games and 59 plate appearances). He has swiped five bags.
Optioning Wade back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre helps fill the rotational void left by the injured James Paxton.
Loaisiga, 24, is a young arm who first appeared last year. Over nine games and four games started, the kid put up a 5.11 ERA and 1.541 WHIP to go along with 33 strikeouts in 24.2 innings pitched. This year, he sports a 1-0 record and 2.70 ERA over two starts.
