Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. reflects on his five-year stint as a member of the New York Giants.

Fans were definitely conflicted when the New York Giants decided to ship Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns in March. Some were depressed they lost their star receiver. Some were happy that they acquired extra draft picks and a young safety in Jabrill Peppers. Others were relieved that the headache Beckham brought came to an end.

Beckham seems happy, though, as he seemed to take a subliminal shot at Giants quarterback Eli Manning this week. Manning, of course, will ignore it, because that’s what a professional does.

The Pro Bowl receiver also took to reflecting on his Giants past, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. Beckham spoke a lot about the notion that people had that he was always in trouble. Many thought Beckham’s behavior and attitude were always in the wrong. This bothered him.

“I’m moving forward and it’s like the only thing we could do is bring up my past,” Beckham said. “I’ve never been in trouble, I’ve never been in handcuffs, I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket really. I’ve done things in the past but I’m trying to keep it pushing, keep it pushing as a man and I feel like the only way for me to grow is everyone else around me to grow so that’s what I’m really trying to do.”

Beckham will look to return to the field this season after missing the final four games of the 2018 regular season due to a quadriceps injury. He’ll be doing it with a young quarterback in Baker Mayfield too, which should be a lethal connection for opposing secondaries.

OBJ just needs to stay out of the trainer’s room. Again, he missed four games last season and 12 games in 2017. The latter collection of missed games was mostly due to a season-ending ankle fracture sustained in a Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
