New York Red Bulls midfielder Alejandro “Kaku” Romero Gamarra hit a Sporting Kansas City fan with the ball.

The Kaku saga has gone way too far.

New York Red Bulls star playmaker Alejandro “Kaku” Romero Gamarra kicked the ball at a Sporting Kansas City fan on Sunday night.

The match was 2-2 in the 93rd minute. Kaku’s teammate Vincent Bezecourt attempted to pass him the ball on the wing but it was deflected outside the field. Furious, the Argentine native jumped, turned around then beamed the ball at a Kansas City fan, an elder man.

Kaku more than likely tried to hit the sideboard but mishit the ball. SKC players Graham Zusi and Matt Besler rushed to the 24-year-old and pushed him. Kaku retaliated.

He was issued a red card but shrugged in disbelief when the referee was showing it to him.

The SKC fans booed the midfielder when he was walking off the field but he raised his hand in the air to apologize.

After the match, Red Bulls players went to the elder man to apologize for Kaku’s mistake.

The Paraguayan international also said sorry again via Twitter:

It’s not the first time Kaku got himself in the news as a RBNY player. He wasn’t on the team’s gameday roster against the San Jose Earthquakes a month ago because of an internal conflict. He also wanted to leave the club in January to transfer to Mexican side Club America but New York reportedly overpriced him.

Kaku wasn’t shy to express his unhappiness when he was denied transfer to America via Twitter and that his agent Gustavo Casasola said the Red Bulls were acting like Adolf Hitler.
