The 2019 season is a pivotal season for the New York Giants franchise as they look to regain credibility after going 8-24 over the last two seasons.

In what was one of the busiest offseasons in the history of the franchise, the Giants parted ways with some valuable members of their team including Landon Collins and Odell Beckham Jr.

But the team also became more physical in adding right guard Kevin Zeitler, right tackle Mike Remmers, and wide receiver Golden Tate.

But will the personnel changes and new offensive philosophy result in different results than the last two seasons?

Week 1 @ DAL: The Cowboys have swept the season series from Big Blue the last two seasons. Unfortunately for the Giants and their fans, Dallas will extend their winning streak over the Giants to five games. L (0-1)

Week 2 vs. BUF: Eli Manning is 3-0 against the Buffalo Bills and he will keep his perfect record intact against them as the Giants win their home opener. W (1-1)

Week 3 @ TB: The Giants and Buccaneers have met twice over the last two seasons with the home team winning both games (2017 Buccaneers 25 Giants 23, 2018 Giants 38, Bucs 35). This time, the road team wins. W (2-1)

Week 4 vs. WSH: The Redskins are the lone NFC East the Giants have had success with over the last five seasons going 6-4. The G-Men will get the better of Washington again. W (3-1)

Week 5 vs. MN:  The Giants three-game winning streak will come to an end at the hands of Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. L (3-2)

Week 6 @ NE: This will be the sixth and likely final matchup between Eli Manning and Tom Brady with Manning having a 3-2 edge. Brady will even the score with Manning as the Pats win on Thursday night football. L (3-3)

Week 7 vs. ARZ: The Giants will put an end to their two-game skid as the defense overwhelms number one overall pick, Kyler Murray. W (4-3)

Week 8 @ DET: The Giants always tend to have one game a season where they have a clunker. This will happen in Week 8 against the Lions. L (4-4)

Week 9 vs. DAL: The Giants will put an end to their five-game losing streak against the Cowboys, as Saquon Barkley out rushes Ezekiel Elliott on Monday Night Football. W (5-4)

New York Giants

Week 10 @ NYJ: The MetLife Stadium Bowl will go to the Giants as Eli Manning shows Sam Darnold that he’s still the best quarterback in the area. W (6-4)

Week 11: Bye

Week 12 @ CHI: The Giants won on overtime 30-27 thriller in Week 13 last season. The Bears will get their revenge this season thanks to their swarming defense. L (6-5)

Week 13 vs. GB: The Giants offense won’t be able to keep pace with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense as the Giants will get swept by the NFC North. L (6-6)

Week 14 @ PHI: Playing in Philadelphia has been a nightmare for the Giants as they haven’t won there since 2013. Big Blue’s woes in Philly will continue as they will lose once more to their bitter rival. L (6-7)

Week 15 vs. MIA: The Giants will keep their slim playoff hopes alive as they soundly defeat the Dolphins and harass Josh Rosen all game long. W (7-7)

Week 16 @ WSH: The Giants will lose a heartbreaker in the final moments that will put an end to their playoff hopes L (7-8)

Week 17 vs. PHI: The Giants will defeat the Eagles for the first time since 2016 and finish the season at 500. In the fourth quarter, Pat Shurmur will take Manning out of the game as he walks off the field to a standing ovation as Daniel Jones replaces him, ending Manning’s 16-year run with the Giants. W (8-8)
