We’re finally in July, which means NFL training camps will open in a few weeks, and we’re getting closer the release of the next edition of the most popular sports video game franchise Madden NFL 20.

Recently they released the ratings for the 2019 rookie class. To no one’s surprise, Kyler Murray, the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, had the highest rating of all rookie quarterbacks at 73.

But the makers of Madden weren’t high on the second quarterback picked in the draft, Daniel Jones. The New York Giants took Jones with the sixth pick. With a rating of 63, Jones was ranked sixth on the rookie quarterback list.

The quarterback who many predicted the Giants would take at six, Dwayne Haskins, was given a rating of 72.

Drew Lock, who was the 42nd overall pick in the draft, was given a rating of 67, and Will Grier, who was taken 100th overall, was given a grade of 66.

But the biggest slap in the face to Jones was that Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyree Jackson, who went undrafted, was given a rating of 64. Talk about disrespect!

Luckily for the Giants and Jones, ratings in video games have no bearing on what happens on the football field. So just add the makers of Madden to the list of people who believe the Giants made a mistake by taking Jones with the sixth pick.

Jones will get a chance to prove his doubters wrong once the preseason starts in August.
