Nike releases a filthy football commercial featuring Odell Beckham Jr., Khalil Mack, and New York Giants stud Saquon Barkley.
Sometimes, Nike will just knock your socks off when it’s least expected. Sure, you may remember it more as a kid, growing up (a couple of decades ago), but they still have a little magic left in the tank.
On Thursday, they knocked our socks clean off.

The brainchild behind the filthy visuals is Gibson Hazard, a former baseball player turned frequent video creator for Drake.
Some of Hazard’s previous work is downright surreal.
Naturally, playing out as the natural social media exposure vulture he is, Beckham immediately took notice of the spot.

The commercial starting out with OBJ in a Statue of Liberty-type “The Catch” pose may feel like a shot to some New Yorkers. It’s not. Not even close.
Nike was simply conveying the drastic move from the Big Apple to The Land. More interesting is the LeBron James chalk-in-the-air signature move (with No. 23 now out in Los Angeles).
The hometown boy, Barkley, tails Beckham in the commercial, keeping that city flavor in tow.
What fans are so obviously pointing out is the idea both Beckham and Barkley could still be on the same team (the Giants). The idea these very same fans fail to realize is that the NFL isn’t a superstar league; it’s a value league.
Without a legitimate offensive line and the proper structure surrounding such stars, a winning team cannot be realized. And, oh yeah, the culture aspect works its way in as well. Curiously enough, head coach Freddie Kitchens is already chirping about Beckham’s longstanding absence at Browns OTAs.
Cleveland fans should receive their first consistent glimpse of Odell Beckham Jr. in a Browns uniform next week at mandatory minicamp.
