Odell Beckham Jr. is “in it” right now. He’s “in it” to the level of texting New York Giants rivals.

According to Kalyn Kahler of MMQB, the former Jints wideout texted Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins after his hometown team bypassed him at No. 6. OBJ’s message to the new Giants rival was revealing yet to the point.

“Show em why.”

“Show ’em why,” in reference to showing the Giants why it was incredibly dumb to pass up the Ohio State product.

For Beckham, the now-Cleveland Browns weapon who was traded earlier in the offseason, the text simply extends his revenge week. Several days ago, OBJ took to Twitter to rant about his former organization.

The actions continue a long line of silly and unnecessary actions from the ultra-talented football player. Forget Dave Gettleman and his comments; Beckham understanding Gettleman means nothing to his own path moving forward is the message that must be preached within his inner circle. It’s silly noise, a distraction not required to show the world why the Giants were wrong in moving on from the record-breaking wideout.

Of course, Haskins was passed on by New York due to its selection of Duke quarterback Daniel Jones in the six-hole on Thursday night. Haskins himself also preached a quick message to the Giants (and the rest of the league) after his Skins selection.

“I’m more motivated now than ever,” Haskins told ESPN on Thursday. “There’s a bigger chip on my shoulder. The league done messed up.”

Pipe down, young buck. What’s the point? Your greatest revenge will come when (and if) you take out on the Giants on Sundays. Words mean nothing, something that’s becoming more lost in today’s social media age that celebrates such silliness.

Daniel Jones’s scary Eli Manning-demeanor is in New York, Odell Beckham Jr.’s unnecessary mouth is in Cleveland, and Dwayne Haskins’ way-too-early noise is in D.C.

It all means absolutely nothing until football is played.
